i went to lunch at bergdorf's today [7th floor] and it was realllllllllly cute. they offered a tea menu inspired by the spring 2009 rtw fashion collections. aside from a nice selection of tea and tea sandwiches they had desserts inspired by designers. phillip lim's peach silk organza dress [above] was channeled into peach mousse with meringue swirls. there were also christian louboutin sugar cookies complete with red icing bottoms [i die]. aside from bergdorf's, i love getting tea from takashimaya [5th ave btwn 54th and 55th]. this asian inspired department store has a secret haven in its basement and it's the perfect place to get away from the craziness of the city. when you step off the elevator you enter a tranquil little restaurant where tea and sandwiches are served and blackberry service is lost. while that makes me a little uneasy [my phone = my child] it lets me enjoy the company of the people im with, i can boo-love later.
